Radon therapy
The most important component and what makes the Gastein cure so special is radon. Radon = repair for the cells through TGF-beta cytokines. Cytokines generally regulate cell growth and tasks of the immune system. The TGF-beta cytokine in particular is an anti-inflammatory and tissue-regenerating messenger substance - and it is precisely this messenger substance that is released particularly intensively during radon therapy.
Gastein Healing Gallery
The perfect interplay of radon, heat and humidity makes the Gastein Healing Gallery an effective remedy. 2.5 kilometres inside the Radhausberg mountain there is a unique healing climate: radon radiation, 37 to 41.5° C heat and 75 to 100 % humidity. In many cases, the treatments lead to a significant improvement in quality of life, a reduction in medication and natural pain relief that lasts for up to 9 months.
Thermal water
Switch off, immerse yourself and let the healing power of Gastein's thermal water work its magic. The Gastein thermal water emerges with temperatures of up to 46 degrees, a natural mineral content and enriched with the noble gas radon. The hot spring water is characterised by a centuries-long cycle, enriched with valuable minerals and with an optimal radon content.
